چکیده
Abstract Waste is a crucial problem because it causes serious impacts in terms of social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects. With the dominance organic waste composition Indonesia, there potential to recycle into useful products, namely compost. Composting occurs naturally so takes long time slow, therefore bio activators such as local microorganisms (MOL) are needed that can accelerate decomposition waste. The purpose this study was determine effect use MOL on quality This research method experimental with two treatments, first treatment addition second without MOL. results showed compost were temperature 30°C, pH 7.4, moisture content 47.01%, C/N ratio 9.55%, phosphate 0.208%, potassium 0.027%. Meanwhile, 31°C, 7, water 63.49%, 10.54%, 0.080%, 0.015%. Compost better met criteria set by SNI No. 19-7030-2004 compared

The Effect of Vermicomposting Process on Organic Matter of Cattle Manure Compost and Municipal Solid Waste Compost
Background & Aims of the Study: Considering the importance of solid waste disposal and the possibility of conversion them into rich organic fertilizers, the objectives of this study were to evaluation of effect of vermicomposting process (VP) on organic matter of cattle manure compost (CMC) and municipal solid waste compost (MSWC) by record changes of the elemental contents of C, N, H, S, and O...
متن کاملMicrobiological Process Report Activity of Microorganisms in Organic Waste Disposal
Principles of aerobic and anaerobic treatment of organic wastes were developed in the previous papers of this symposium. The application of these principles to engineering design is discussed in this paper. Although the discussion is restricted to the aerobic treatments, the concepts are equally applicable to anaerobic treatments. Laboratory or pilot plant studies are employed to develop engine...
متن کاملAdditives aided composting of green waste: effects on organic matter degradation, compost maturity, and quality of the finished compost.
The effect of various additives such as fly ash, phosphogypsum, jaggery, lime, and polyethylene glycol on green waste composting was investigated through assessing their influence on microbial growth, enzymatic activities, organic matter degradation, bulk density, quality of finished compost including gradation test, heavy metal analysis, etc. A perusal of results showed that addition of jagger...
متن کاملCompost liquor bioremediation using waste materials as biofiltration media.
Compost liquor results from the percolation of precipitation through composting waste; the release of liquids from high moisture content feedstocks; and as a result of runoff from hard surfaces and machinery. This research aimed to establish the potential for waste materials to act as media for low-cost compost liquor biofilters. Six types of potential biofilter media were packed into experimen...
متن کاملDevelopment of compost maturity and Actinobacteria populations during full-scale composting of organic household waste.
AIMS This study investigates changes in microbiological and physicochemical parameters during large-scale, thermophilic composting of a single batch of municipal organic waste. The inter-relationships between the microbial biomass and community structure as well as several physicochemical parameters and estimates of maturation were evaluated. METHODS AND RESULTS Analyses of signature fatty ac...
